Earlier this week, on Monday Night Raw from the
Dunkin' Donuts Civic Center in Providence, Rhode Island, Kurt Angle brutally
attacked Shawn Michaels after his victory over Edge. The assault was vicious
and the "Heartbreak Kid" was left in a pool of blood. Would Michaels seek
revenge?
This past Thursday night at the Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York, Scotty Wright (Scotty Charisma) was scheduled to be Kurt Angle's opponent in the weekly Kurt Angle Invitational Hometown Challenge. What surprised the jammed packed arena and millions of viewers watching at home, was that Scott Wright came out to the ring with his body and face completely covered by a thick warm-up suit with a hood. Kurt Angle immediately thought it was a setup and that his concealed opponent was none other then the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, as he seemed to have a similar build to Scott Wright. Angle, a former 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist demanded that the man take his hood off and at one point decided to rip it off himself. Kurt was baffled to realize that the man was not Shawn Michaels, but a local man who was there to accept the Hometown Challenge. As Angle demanded to know the Hometown Boy's name, a mysterious cameraman began to take off a disguise. The cameraman turned out to be none other then...Shawn Michaels who quickly spun Angle around and returned the favor from Monday Night. Security was eventually called to the ring to tear the two apart who will face each other at Wrestlemania 21 in Los Angeles on April 3rd. Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long, had security guards remove the Heartbreak Kid from the Pepsi Arena. Link: WWE - click on Special Visitor video
