I attended the Sabu benefit show in East Rutherford, New Jersey on 12/26 promoted by New Millenium Wrestling. The audience was approximately 150. It was mostly families and more kids than I'd seen at a show in a long time. the kids all seemed to congregate in the section in front of the hard Camera and were incredibly vocal throughout the show cheering the faces and booing the heels. It was hysterical and a real flashback.

There was a Pre-Show auction with many autographed items from WWE, the Sopranos & Satin Dolls. The auction had participation from former ECW star Electra and the Bada-Bing Girls.

Crowbar welcomed everyone and introduced the Patriot, who was accompanied by 2 kids carrying the American flag and stood center ring for the National Anthem.

*Johnny Thunder defeated Crazy Ivan

*Former ECW ring announcer Stephen DeAngelis introduced Electra who in turn introduced Danny Doring and the rest of "The A-List" (Matt Stryker & Ace Darling) accompanied by the Bada-Bing Girls. Doring's scheduled opponent Roadkill was not there due to illness and Doring cut him down in a promo, reading a letter from Roadkill's mother. Doring issued an open challenge, which was answered by Danny Jaxx. Doring says there's room for only one Danny in wrestling so he'll call him "Little Timmy." Doring won due to lots of interference.

This went immediately into Matt Stryker vs Scotty Charisma. Charisma rolls up Stryker for the win. The A-List attacks him, but he is saved by a run in by the Patriot.

*In a Tag Tean Tournament Qualifying match, The Solution (Papa Don & Havok) defeated The Valedictorians (Rob Eckos & Billy Bax) with the Problem Solver.

*NWS Heavyweight Champion The Patriot fought Paul E. Normus to a no contest.

*NMW Cruiserweight champion Queenan Creed with Acropolis defends and defeats Johnny Thunder. Scheduled opponents Abunai and Wicked were not there so Queed issued an open challenge.

*Simon Diamond issues yet another open challenge, which was answered by the unannounced Chris Candido. Simon won the match with a foreign object until referee Mike Kehner spots it and restarts the match. Candido uses the gimmick behind Kehner's back to win the match.

*In a NMW Tag Team championship Qualifying match, Hot N Sexy (Red Hot Russ & Mo Sexy) defeated Mana the Polynesian Warrior& Rick Fuller.

*Vic D. Vine with Serena defeated Crowbar to become the NMW Northeast Champion with Mick Foley as the special referee. After the match, Vic was disrespectful to Foley and got Mr. Socko.

*Steve "Monsta" Mack defeated Genesis

*Stephen DeAngelis intoduced Sabu who came to the ring and said "Thank you very much." The fans gave a standing ovation to Sabu.

*In a NMW Tag Team championship bout, The Solution defeat Hot N' Sexy to become the first Tag Team champions. Sabu presented them with the tag belts.

NMW runs again on Feb 19th.
